The Gardens has always been a family run business in different shapes and sizes. Our Father started working on the family farm of which he took over. This very farm and our family values is what makes us who we are today, and without our past, we certainly could not bring you the future – The Gardens at Stretton.
Built on our Fathers dream, The Gardens is our greatest and proudest achievement. With out garden centre ,full of vibrant seasonal plants and supplies; Café overflowing with fresh bakes sweet treats; and Farm Shop sourcing all the best produce that the midlands has to offer. We hope it brings you just as much joy as it bring our family!
From farmland to organic farm shop, bespoke garden centre and artisan café, The Gardens was built on the back of a dream. We are proud of our heritage and we are so happy to see how far we have come as a family. Our history is something we hold very close as a family and we are excited to share it with you.
In 1953 our Dad was born into the Field family. With farming roots, he strived to work the land and soon become a valuable farm hand where his knowledge and experience went from strength to strength.
When our father was old enough he took over the family farm, through tough times and good times he continued to develop his knowledge and learning what it meant to run a successful business.
It is working the land and running the farm that lead to my dads dream. The dream of bringing together his love of the outdoors, local suppliers and great food! This dream of his was something he was always vocal about.
As our father retired, and we grew up, we wanted to put our fathers dream into action, we got a plan together and got to work! The first step was to acquire the land that would soon be the birthplace of The Gardens.
After years of planning we could finally take the big step of getting our barn built. This purpose built barn is lovingly decorated and will act as the main hub for The Gardens.
Then it was time to find our lovely, local suppliers which mean lots of meetings lots of driving, but also lots of eating! (we don’t mind that last part)
With months and months of blood, sweat and tears, The Gardens was finally ready for the public. Launching on Thursday 28th of November 2024 we were ready and waiting for our first excited customers.
